The Congrès de l’Association Dentaire Française (French Dental Association Annual Meeting) is one of the main dental industry events in Europe. This year, with a strong scientific program of over 400 speakers and a busy exhibition area with over 300 exhibitors, ADF gathered thousands of dental professionals from around the world in the heart of Paris.

PIC dental exhibited at ADF 2023 in collaboration with WorkFlows Institute, Mindset and Astem Digital. Throughout the 5 days of the congress, our team shared the advantages of the PIC pro workflow and the PIC system for predictable full arch restorations.
Dr. Dray and Dr. Dominguez from Cabinet Dentaire L2D Oralpes, who already have their own PIC pro training scheduled later in December, visited the stand to say hello and discover what their PIC system Gravity will look like.
Dr. Julien Guiol, the course director at WorkFlows Institute, presented a lecture on intraoral scanning in the daily life of a maxillofacial surgeon. Dr. Guiol completed his on-site PIC pro training earlier this year at his own dental practice, and since then, he has already delivered many full arch restorations with the passive fit guaranteed by the PIC system.
“We completed the PIC pro training, and we must recognize that there is a big difference between how we worked before, in the analog method.”
He shared how his approach with the renewed protocol provides time and precision improvements, better patient monitoring, increased collaboration and, overall, a strengthening of the practice.
Dr. Thibaud Casas, founder of the WorkFlows Institute and co-founder of Mindset, also was a speaker on the topic of immediate loading. Together with Samuel Morice, DT, he presented his approach to the “digital patient” or “avatar” concept, where patient records gathered with digital tools allow better treatment planning and execution.
“To consistently have an impression which is reliable and a prosthesis which is completely passive, means a lot of peace of mind for us.”
One of the clinical cases they highlighted where a combination of over 10 tools was used, including Dr. Casas’ own PIC system for the precise implants capture used for the final zirconia restoration with a direct connection, without any ti-bases (learn more in the full case report).
ADF 2023 showcased the important role of education in dentistry and showed how digital tools with reliable workflows can enhance the work of dentists and dental technicians and foster their collaboration. The new generation of the PIC system continues to support the work of leading implantology specialists worldwide, and it was a pleasure to meet the French dental community in person.
