PIC pro at Asnan Tower

Asnan Tower, located in Kuwait, is one of the most advanced dental clinics in the region. They recently acquired a PIC system Gravity to bring precision, speed, and full digital integration to implant prosthetics. To maximize its potential, the team completed a five-day PIC pro training, and it was a training to remember!

Revolutionizing full-arch workflows with the gold standard in photogrammetry

From the very first day, one of the clinic’s founders, Dr. Tareq Burez, a Harvard-educated prosthodontist, and over 20 professionals—including lab technicians, hygienists, implantologists, and other specialists—actively participated in the sessions, which combined theoretical lectures, hands-on model practice, and real patient cases.

The team quickly adapted to the new digital workflow, learning to:

• Capture PIC files in just two seconds
• Perform immediate loading protocols
• Design prostheses and 3D print them
• Align the PIC file with the rest of the digital patient records in exocad for definitive restorations
• Achieve perfect passive fit with no occlusal adjustments

Despite their high surgical volume and clinical expertise, before implementing PIC dental digital workflow Asnan Tower faced a major bottleneck: limited digitalization. Their workflow relied heavily on analog steps, which slowed down turnaround times and made immediate loading nonviable. Implants were covered with healing caps and traditional dentures were used, limiting the full potential of their team and technology.

A transformative week of practice and progress for immediate loadings (and results)

The PIC pro training marked a turning point for Asnan Tower. On the very first day, the team successfully captured a PIC file on a patient, amazed by the PIC system Gravity ease of use and minimal handling. They then tackled a complex bimaxillary case involving extensive bone reduction and limited mandibular bone, successfully completing their first immediate loading with a 3D-printed screw-retained provisional prosthesis ready in just 40 minutes after the surgery.

Throughout the week, the team:

• Practiced on multiple patients
• Completed several bimaxillary surgeries
• Delivered over a dozen definitive rehabilitations
• Tested and compared various finishing materials
• Collaborated closely between clinic and lab to streamline the full-arch workflow

By the end of the training, the team was independently capturing PIC files and producing restorations with exceptional precision.
