Last week, hundreds of dental professionals gathered in Barcelona, Spain, to attend Digital Indian Summer congress. This was the third edition of the event that’s co-organized by MODJAW™, creators of the homonymous device that introduced the 4D dentistry concept capturing true jaw motion for diagnostics and restorations, and the WorkFlows Institute, the largest dental educational community in France with over 10,000 members.

Digital Indian Summer is an international congress dedicated to digital and 4D dentistry. The two-day event had 12 international speakers presenting their work and discussing the future of digital dentistry. PIC dental exhibited at the congress, showcasing a PIC system Gravity with the new PIC camera!
Fully 3D-printed face and mouth replicas were produced as part of a workshop presented by Dr. Thibaud Casas about global implant-prosthetic rehabilitations, which featured a PIC system capture.
As in our recent Immediate Loading course with Dr. Meda, participants experienced the new system in person and got all their questions answered. PIC system Gravity is one of the two new PIC system form factors that were released earlier this year. It’s designed for quick and simple room changes thanks to its All-On-4 Wheels and QuickSwitch Power that allows the system to stay turned on when unplugged for short periods of time.
The new PIC suite software (that’s already getting to many of our existing customers) was also one of the highlights, with surprisingly fast demonstrations thanks to its productivity-optimized features, such as Lightspeed Odontogram and Instant Capture.
It was a pleasure for our team to speak and connect with some of PIC dental’s international distributors and clients who came to the congress in person.
Some of PIC dental’s customers and distributors that were at the Digital Indian Summer congress visited our stand to say hello.
The PIC system and the PIC pro workflow were also featured in some of the congress’ keynotes. Dr. Dinos Kountouras (Dental Implants and Aesthetics) came all the way from Australia to share his insights in a presentation titled “Long-Term Success in Full Arch Cases: What Does It Take To Achieve It?”. Dr. Kountouras shared some of his clinical cases, in which he always uses the PIC system to obtain a guaranteed passive fit in full arch implant rehabilitations. In his own words, “With the PIC system, basically everything is much, much faster […] it takes out a lot of preoccupation from our part if it will fit or not, because we know that it will fit.”

MODJAW™ and the WorkFlows Institute did a great job of organizing this energetic and dynamic event, creating a great opportunity for dental professionals to connect. We’re looking forward to the next one!
