PIC dental at the AADD Annual Conference

This month, the PIC dental team participated in the American Academy for Digital Dentistry Annual Meeting held in Houston, TX. The AADD, known for its focus on specialized training programs, skill enhancement, and global learning opportunities, aims to cultivate a community of forward-thinking professionals.

This year, the AADD Annual Meeting spotlighted recent advancements in dental implant techniques and the seamless integration of a fully digital workflow. Over the course of two days, attendees had the privilege of engaging with esteemed speakers, global experts, and renowned exhibitors. Having both the PIC system and PIC system Gravity allowed the participants to experience both form factors right at our booth.

Day one of the event was marked by insightful presentations and valuable networking opportunities with exhibiting companies. Dr. Paulo Maló, the visionary inventor behind the ground-breaking All-On-4 treatment concept, headlined the day with a compelling presentation. Dr. Maló explored various solutions, including the utilization of zygomatic implants for shorter implants, alongside the latest advancements in implant design through real-life case studies.

The focus of day two shifted towards immersive breakout sessions and hands-on workshops, fostering intimate and collaborative networking environments. Among these interactive sessions was a workshop led by Dr. Sergio Ortegon, a board-certified prosthodontist and user of the PIC system. Dr. Ortegon was introduced to the PIC system during a course conducted by PIC dental and iHDS two years prior, shared his journey of adopting the system into his practice.

Titled "Stereophotogrammetry: an Essential Tool for the Digital Workflow in Multi-unit Implant Restorations," Dr. Ortegon's presentation and workshop showcased the importance of a digital workflow in multi-unit implant restorations, leveraging the capabilities of the PIC system. During the session, PIC dental CEO, Adrián Hernández, led a hands-on demonstration with the PIC system Gravity.

The AADD Annual Meeting served as a valuable platform for dental professionals to explore cutting-edge advancements in digital dentistry, exchange insights, and forge meaningful connections.
