On May 22, PIC academy, PIC dental's center for digital implant dentistry education, brought its Digital workflow on All-on-X course to the Houston Dental Education Institute in Bellaire, giving clinicians across the U.S. a close, practical look at how photogrammetry implant capture reshapes the day-to-day of full-arch restorations.
One patient, one scan, a perfect fit
The live patient demonstration was the moment that truly resonated. For clinicians who had not yet used photogrammetry, seeing the capture performed in real time with PIC system Gravity illustrated the argument for a passive, precise fit far more convincingly than any slide.
The sequence spoke for itself: an easy 20-second scan, roughly 45 minutes of printing, and a restoration that simply dropped in and fit. Not one drill was picked up to adjust it.
That is exactly what attendees came to see—the difference between hoping a full-arch prosthesis seats cleanly and knowing it will, with fewer try-ins and less time in the chair.
PIC dental: The missing link in restoration dentistry
With 30 years in practice, Dr. Giancarlo Romero has lived the field's shift from analog to digital, and he has watched full-arch dentistry change with it. He put what that has meant in plain terms:
"PIC dental solved the missing link that changed full arch dentistry forever, and relieved a stress we had felt for decades."
Coming from someone who has seen the full evolution firsthand, it framed the day better than any product claim could: PIC system is not just another device but the key piece that makes a full-arch restoration digital workflow truly precise and reliable.
An engaged room
The questions told us how ready the room was to put this to work. Attendees dug into soft-tissue scanning, how photogrammetry builds an accurate 3D model, the real differences between systems and cameras, and where the technology changes the therapy itself—not just the impression step.
That kind of conversation is the point of PIC academy: a practical, peer-to-peer dialog, grounded in real clinical decisions.

What's next
PIC academy is an ongoing education hub, and Houston is part of a growing U.S. program alongside our courses in Europe. New sessions are announced regularly in English and Spanish—keep an eye on our PIC academy page.
Our thanks to every attendee who brought questions, experience, and energy to the day. We look forward to welcoming you to the next one!
