Extrema Dental Lab, with over 5 years of experience, envisions a future that is entirely digital. Fueled by their passion for technology, they strive to establish a laboratory that delivers the finest outcomes to their clinics. Anchored on five core pillars, their clinics prioritize:
Extrema Dental Lab and Instituto Dental Los Milagros faced a significant challenge with the inaccuracy of their intraoral scanners, which had a cascading effect on the entire rehabilitation process. The lack of precision resulted in various issues that disrupted the workflow and caused numerous repetitions. This meant repeatedly removing the provisionals, retaking the models, sending them back to the lab, and finally trying in the provisionals without any assurance of a definitive outcome. The uncertainty prompted them to actively search for a solution that would efficiently minimize this cumbersome process.
Dr. Daniel Zavala's introduction to the PIC system occurred almost a decade ago during a course organized by the Spanish Society of Implants (Sociedad Española de Implantes). That initial encounter has remained in his mind ever since, and realizing that the precision he had been experiencing was no longer acceptable, he decided to fully embrace the PIC system. Collaborating closely with Extrema Dental Lab, Dr. Zavala found the ideal partnership to implement this innovative solution within his clinic.
The PIC pro training conducted at Instituto Dental Los Milagros was designed for Extrema Dental Lab, allowing for a collaborative learning experience between the clinic and lab. Throughout the training, both teams were able to gain a comprehensive understanding of the PIC system and PIC pro workflow, as they worked on various clinical cases.
From start to finish, the teams immersed themselves in the PIC pro workflow, with one particular aspect leaving a lasting impression on them. The feeling of screwing in the prostheses and experiencing the perfectly passive fit provided an entirely new sensation for the team. This exciting experience has now become the new standard for them, and they are thrilled to incorporate it into their daily practices.
