Participants learned about the latest advancements in digital implant dentistry, enhancing their efficiency and predictability in delivering outstanding clinical outcomes. The course covered a wide array of topics, including the use of face scanning, guided surgery, dynamic navigation, CBCT, IOS, and photogrammetry for predictable guided immediate implant placement and loading.
During the course, Prof. Pozzi discussed the integration of the PIC system into his workflow, inviting Ricardo Alves from PIC dental to elaborate on the system’s capabilities.
The hands-on sessions were a key component of the course, allowing all participants to try the PIC system for themselves and understand its clinical applications. Prof. Pozzi emphasized the clinical benefits of the Gravity form factor due to its ability to position patients effectively thanks to the Zero-Gravity Arm.
One of the standout moments of the course was when a participant questioned the precision of the PIC system. Prof. Pozzi seized this opportunity to deliver an in-depth lecture on concepts such as precision, accuracy, linear deviation, and angular deviation, featuring some of his own scientific research on the topic.
During the course, Prof. Pozzi demonstrated the PIC system’s capabilities by using it to measure implant positions for two provisional PMMA prostheses as well as two final zirconia prostheses that were then produced and placed in a patient’s mouth. All prostheses exhibited perfect passivity, showcasing the system’s precision.
The course fostered a collaborative environment where Prof. Pozzi’s detailed explanations and live demonstrations on all aspects of a full arch implant rehabilitation, including his expertise with navigated surgery, showcased the practical applications of these technologies.
As the course concluded, attendees left with a renewed confidence in their ability to leverage digital workflows for exceptional clinical outcomes. The emphasis on precision, accuracy, and the integration of digital workflows provided attendees with a comprehensive understanding of advanced implant dentistry.
